Second 1 1/2 times hydraulic test passed successfully today, so 4 more years of running.

I had a most successful run at our club open day 7th July 2013 All the snags seem to have been solved and the loco runs like a good un.
Will have to start a new project now, before the Decorating takes over.

Second Run

Second run today 2nd June 12, managed to miss the rain. Blower worked a little better but still rather weak, needs a good looking at and maybe larger pipework. Loco ran well for a lap or two, then the front bogie derailed. Will adjust the springs a bit for the next run. Finally the left side motion developed a knock bringing an end to today's events, so back to the workshop for a full inspection.

29 May 2012.  First run on club track at last, FANTASTIC. Good run, feels like a real workhorse and so much better than an 0-4-0 hunslet, much smoother ride.  Found a leak in the blower pipework and then blew the blast nozzle out and lost same. Consequently the run was terminated for today until I make a new one.
If I sort the problems out I hope to try again on Sunday, weather permitting.

Progress

Entered in Midlands Exhibition 2010.  First prize in class 3 (Good result)
Steamed today for the first time. Results good, leaky Axle pump and non working bypass due to not drilling branch through in tee fitting (Drrrr).
Run at track very soon if the weather warms up. Shame to spoil the paint job.

Complete at last. 5 years in the making the loco is complete at last. All that is left now is to run it at the club track.

First Lift

Turn 90 deg

Part turned

Before Starting the pipework I have modified the building frame to enable me to lift the loco off its wheels and turn over to access the underside. I will now be able to think out the grate and ashpan setup
